OUR EXPERTISE

Precision-driven
Architectural Excellence.

Residential, commercial and institutional buildings designed from concept through construction drawings, with the studio staying involved on site through completion.

Good architecture isn't just how a building looks — it's whether the space actually works for the people using it, whether it clears local approvals without delay, and whether it holds up structurally and financially over time. At WAA, architectural design means translating a client's brief into a buildable, code-compliant, genuinely livable structure — not just a striking render. With 20+ years of practice across Islamabad and Karachi, we handle everything from initial concept through construction documentation, working as one coordinated team rather than handing you off between separate consultants for planning, structure, and interiors.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to what people most often ask before starting a project with us. Don't see your question here? message us on WhatsApp.

Can I just build a house without hiring an architect?

expand_more

Technically, in many housing societies you can build without one, but skipping an architect usually costs more in the long run — through wasted space, structural issues discovered mid-construction, or CDA/RDA rejections that delay your project. If you're weighing whether you actually need one, we've written an honest answer to that question — including where a good contractor genuinely can handle things on their own.

How much do architectural design services cost?

expand_more

Architecture fees vary based on plot size, scope (concept-only vs. full construction documentation and supervision), and project complexity — there isn't a single flat number that applies to every project. The clearest way to get an accurate figure for your specific plot and requirements is to book a consultation or request a quote above.

Do you handle CDA/RDA approval submissions, or just the design?

expand_more

We prepare CDA and RDA submission drawings as part of our documentation process and support clients through the approval workflow — this is one of the most common practical concerns people have before starting a project, since navigating local authority requirements without help can cause real delays.

What's the difference between hiring WAA versus a firm that only does 2D CAD drawings?

expand_more

Our architectural work is built on BIM (Building Information Modeling) using Revit, not just 2D CAD drafting. The practical difference: a BIM model is data-rich and coordinated, so structural and MEP changes update automatically across every affected drawing — in pure CAD work, each of those has to be manually redrawn, which is where errors and mismatched drawing sets typically come from. We cover this comparison in more depth in our journal.

Is your architectural work only relevant in Pakistan, or does it hold up internationally?

expand_more

Our architectural modeling and documentation follow the same BIM compliance standards we apply on GCC and UAE municipal submissions — this isn't a simplified local-only process, it's the workflow of a practice that delivers BIM-compliant architectural work internationally.

What's the difference between your Architecture service and your Planning service?

expand_more

Architecture focuses on the design of individual buildings — layout, structure, aesthetics, and construction documentation for a specific structure. Planning deals with the layout of land and infrastructure at a broader scale — site planning, boundary and access design, and regulatory submission drawings for how a plot or development is laid out before (or alongside) individual buildings are designed on it. Many projects need both.

Do you also handle the interior design once the building is complete?

expand_more

Yes — we offer Interior Design services as part of the same coordinated team, so interior fit-out can be planned in parallel with architectural design rather than as a disconnected afterthought once construction finishes.

What software do you use, and can I request specific formats (DWG, PDF, etc.)?

expand_more

We work primarily in Autodesk Revit for BIM-based architectural modeling, with AutoCAD for 2D drafting needs — deliverable formats (DWG, PDF, IFC, etc.) can be discussed based on what your contractor or approval authority requires.

Is WAA a registered architecture practice?

expand_more

Yes — the practice is led by a PCATP-registered architect (Registration No. A02188), registered with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners, the statutory body governing architectural practice in Pakistan under the PCATP Ordinance, 1983. This is the credential CDA and RDA typically expect on formal submissions.

How do I get started or ask project-specific questions?

expand_more

Book a consultation or message us on WhatsApp — useful if you want to discuss your plot size, budget range, or timeline before committing to a full quote request.
